1st. Lt. Theron Drury "Drew" Allen, Jr.

Theron Drury "Drew" Allen, Jr. (February 12, 1944 - March 23, 2008)
 
Drew was born in Minden to Theron Allen, Sr. (1917-1987), and the former Virginia Strong. He graduated from Minden High School in 1962. He served in the United States Army as first lieutenant with the 84th Engineer Battalion and received a Purple Heart award. He owned Lake Services Construction Company on Lake Bistineau and was a devotee of the outdoors. He died after a lengthy illness at the Veterans Administration  Medical Center in Shreveport.
 
Memorial services were held on March 30, 2008, at the Koran American Legion Post No. 388.
 
Survivors included his mother; his wife of thirty-five years, the former Margaret Thibodaux; his son, Robert Brian Allen and wife, Stephanie, and three grandchildren, Robert B. Allen, Jr., Lillian Brooke Allen, and Sophia Lake Allen.
