Colonel Doyle "B.D." Walker

Youngest son of Mr. & Mrs. H.A. Walker of Minden, La.


· Entered active duty in 1960 as 2nd Lieutenant after completing AFROTC
at La. Tech (BS Petroleum Engineering).
· Graduated Navigation and Electronic Warfare Officer's (EWO) Schools.
· Served in Vietnam in 1966-67 as EWO on classified, special mission C-130 Program.
· Earned MS degree in Logistics Management from Air Force Institute of
Technology (AFIT), Dayton, Ohio.
· Assignments included Pentagon (Wash. DC), Florida, Mississippi, Texas, Ohio,
California, North Carolina, Vietnam and The Netherlands (Holland).
· Retired in rank of Colonel in 1985 with 26 years active service after completing tour in American Embassy, The Hague, The Netherlands. Note: My Ambassador was L. Paul Bremer III, the current Coalition Administrator in Iraq. My Navy Deputy was Commander John Hillard, nephew of MHS Coach Joyce Hillard.

Captain Doyle Walker -- Nha Trang, Vietnam -- 1966

· Assigned Detachment 1, 314th Troop Carrier Wing, CCK Air Base, Taiwan with Operating Location Nha Trang, Vietnam (September 1966 to June 1967).
· Flew as Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) on C-130E aircraft with highly
classified missions in support of MACV-SOG (Hqs. Saigon) and 5th Special Forces (Hqs. Nha Trang). Missions were flown over both South and North Vietnam.
