John Berry Adcock was born on a wagon train between Alabama and Louisiana on November 13, 1870. He was the oldest of six children- four boys and three girls.
He made his home in Bernice, Louisiana with his wife, Loretta Jane Gray of Tennessee. He was an excellent photographer and piano tuner. He was the only piano tuner for the First Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana at the time.
He and his wife had eight children including George Alman Adcock who later was a Southern Bell telephone test desk man in Minden for over forty years.
John Berry Adcock died in El Dorado, Arkansas on September 7, 1937.
